Most of the movies we’ve made as King is a Fink are little on the naughty side.
Take the Girl Rods series, for example. We made 5 movies about a lovable group of porn stars. They support each other, teach each other, laugh together, talk about funny and outlandish porn staples, search for love, make robot friends, and save one another from insane astrophysicists. However, none of the Girl Rods movies includes sex or nudity.
Now let’s look at one of the movies we’re making right now: Libidoland. It has a little sex and a little nudity. Some might label it as dirty just based on that, but consider this: the couple showcased in this film is married, very much in love, and exploring whether a new sexual experience is right for them. No one gets violated, exploited, or cheated on. That’s not dirty – that’s awesome. And respectful. And sexy.
Although it’s not our goal to make exclusively sexy movies, when we do include sexual themes, we want them to be sex-positive. Because sex is sexy. And sex is fun. And sex can be sexy AND fun, even in a committed relationship.
What are some sexy-fun movies that get you all riled up?
Jane Campion’s The Piano! Okay, there’s voyeurism and Harvey Keitel is not her husband… the voyeur is…. BUT eventually they get married. Sexy fun. Also, the scene in Cold Mountain when Inman and Ada finally get together after the war. I would so go camping more often is that’s what it looked like.
Julie’s favorite sexy movie is Secretary. She also loves Hedwig and the Angry Inch and remembers Shortbus being pretty sex-positive as well…
