Speechless. Stunned. Incredulous… All those words cannot describe my utter dismay, Julie. And all I can say is Watch It Now. With the new orchestral soundtrack. Then watch it with Coppola’s commentary. Then watch The Godfather II. But under no uncertain terms should you go near Godfather III. Unless you wanna see why and how Sofia Coppola can’t act to save herself. And you’re welcome for all the love. You deserve it – but please, go watch The Godfather. Now.)

As far as Scenes From a Marriage goes, Jess has seen parts of it but not all of it, and it’s definitely on our list of Things We Should Have Seen By Now.

Speaking of which, I have a confession that’s going to flip your lid: I (Julie of King is a Fink) have never seen The Godfather. (Eek!) I know. I blame my steady diet of Animal House and John Hughes-type movies in the 80s and rom-coms through most of the 90s. Luckily, Jessica entered my life in 1999 and started me on the right track.

So many great movies to catch up on. So little time. (But I do find just enough time to sneak in a Caddyshack viewing now and then…)

LURVE the poster. Loved your post in Multi-hyphenate. And love how a question like Why Do You Make Movies has prompted you on a journey of soul and Bergman searching. Sure The Seventh Seal and Fanny & Alexander are classics. But my personal fav is the mini-series Scenes From A Marriage -haha. Have you seen it?
