On the Verge. Choreography by Paige Caldarella. Collaboration with the Chicago-based dance collective The Off Center Project.
On the Verge explores gender, race, class, and labor through an unconventional pas de deux in which two women – one black, one white – dance together in a gritty, post-industrial landscape.
A Second Knock at the Door (2011)
The feature-length documentary A SECOND KNOCK AT THE DOOR offers a rare glimpse into the sacrifice and courage of military families dealing with the heart-breaking reality of friendly fire while raising questions about military notification procedures and subsequent actions following the death of U.S. soldiers.
A Second Knock at the Door: A Documentary on Friendly Fire was our first foray into documentary filmmaking. In 2011, the film was an official selection of the Virginia Film Festival, 2011 Flyway Film Festival, Santa Rosa International Film Festival, Vegas Cine Fest, and Canton Film Festival. It was honored as best documentary at the Sycamore Film Festival, and the East Lansing Film Festival.
The dramatic thriller TILT focuses on the aftermath of an unthinkable event, as a father struggles to reconnect with his daughter while deciding how far he’ll go to set things right.
TILT was our first produced screenplay. We embarked on the journey with two Brainerd, MN-based filmmakers, Jeremy Doyle and Phil Holbrook. Distributed in 2013, TILT won “best editing” for a feature film at the Minneapolis Underground Film Festival.
Betty is a side character with barely a line in TILT. Here, we dig a little deeper. Enjoy BETTY.
